WISDOM OF THE LAND

The Potting Shed was originally built in about 2010 as a potting shed and garden tool storage shed, the construction partially used 120 year old recycled totora planks from the owners farm. The shed then morphed into a part time studio and quiet place for meditation before being refurbished as an incredibly special retreat. The Clifftops tented lodge was inspired by owners African safari when they stayed at super camps such as Governors and Treetops. The grassy knoll and the view over Bream Bay was the ideal place to construct a luxe lodge which could be themed with a nod to the romantic era of Africa. Nobody in Australasia had gone to the extreme level ,of comfort and décor that the owners demanded. The huge deck incorporating several seating areas and a hot tub has room for outside clifftop dining, while the hidden bath is a treasure. Being off grid was a complimentary adjunct to the naturally harvested water supply. Unlimited WiFi and complete privacy, together with the electric buggy for beach expeditions, complete the package. Situated on a 40ha working coastal farm running sheep and steers, at Bream Tail, between Mangawhai and Waipu, about an hour and a half north of the Auckland harbour Bridge.
